Glidelo records and edits locally. Recording media is not automatically uploaded.

Local storage

Original media, recording chunks, project metadata, pointer events, and edits are stored in the browser’s local database. Exports may use temporary local files. Deleting a project removes media that is no longer referenced by another project. Keep portable backups before clearing browser data.

Permissions

Screen capture uses the browser or operating system permission picker. Microphone and camera access are requested only when enabled. The extension requests active-tab access, tab capture, local storage, scripting, and an offscreen recorder. It collects normalized pointer positions and click times during an active recording, not typed text or page contents.

Speech models

Generating captions downloads Whisper Tiny weights from Hugging Face when requested. The provider receives ordinary model-download requests; Glidelo sends no recording audio to it. Remove model files with the caption dialog’s cache removal control.

Sharing

This hosted studio has no configured video-sharing backend. The Share control explains this and does not upload your recording. The optional source service requires deliberate upload and configured authentication and storage.

Hosting

The site host receives normal page and asset requests and may apply its own access controls and service logging. The Glidelo application contains no advertising or recording-content analytics.
